Lila Bower Memorial website

"Lila's in Heaven, Mommy! See! She's up there with Jesus!"Quote ~Madelyn Bower, At age 2

This site has been created in remembrance of our sweet little baby- Lila Grace Bower.  She was born on her due date- November 7th, 2007 and went to Heaven on February 1st, 2008.

Please light a candle for Lila while you are here visiting, we really appreciate the candles- they are such loving reminders of our baby girl and how many lives she has touched.

We know Lila resides with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  We know we will be with her again someday when it is our turn, but for now we miss holding our precious baby.  She was our sweet angel baby, our loving bundle of joy.

Though her life was short, just 86 days, we had the blessing of seeing her first smile, hearing her first laugh, and knowing without a doubt that she loved each of us with all of her heart.  She was especially attached to her big sister, Maddie.

Each day that passes by- we think of her, wondering who she would be today, what she would be doing, how she might look.  But we know that in Heaven she's perfect, loving, and living eternally.

Lila's short life made an impact on many people.  She helped us see that our daily lives should be about glorifying God and being good to others.  We don't know how many days we will have.  The bible says what comes from our mouth is an overflow of what's in our hearts.  It's hard, and we all fail daily, but Jesus brought us forgiveness from God and the chance to keep starting over and trying to do better.  Being "basically good" does not save us, we are all sinners, we are all selfish in our own ways, but God loves us anyway and by Grace through Faith -  He gives us that chance to walk with him forever in paradise -when this life is done.  This feels "real" to us somedays, like this is "all there is," but that's just because it's all we've ever known, there is something much greater that awaits us - if only we believe.

Just ask Lila, she lives there now.
